Both sides have failed to keep a clean sheet against each other at the Vitality Stadium in their last three meetings.
Arsenal’s last defeat away to the Cherries was in January 2018, when it finished 2-1 to the home side.
Last time out between the two sides it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Match Preview
It was an excellent performance from the Gunners on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge, showing really fight with 10 men, to draw level twice and come back to North London with a point. It could be the turning point for Arsenal’s inconsistent season and provide a solid foundation for the rest of the campaign. There’s no better way to continue their much needed momentum with a win against Bournemouth on Monday night and this is how I see the match going.
Last time out, Arsenal were the protagonists, taking the game to a deep sitting Bournemouth who looked to counter. I believe this game will be no different, with the Gunners more capable to field a strong team, due to the Cherries being in a relegation battle. It could be a vital aspect of the game, as Eddie Howe will be reluctant to play key players in case of injuries. On the other hand, Arteta will go strong, as he recently said in a press conference that he wants his team to become “addicted to winning” again and the FA cup would be a great place to start. I see the game being similar as it always is against Bournemouth with Arsenal dominating possession and trying to force mistakes from their defence. There will be chances throughout, considering their defences, with the theme of both sides scoring continuing this time out as well. I expect a good intensity for the whole 90 minutes, with everyone involved wanting to book their place in the next round of the FA cup.
Arsenal welcomed Héctor Bellerin back into the fold on Tuesday, who puts a real captains performance in, tying the game up for the Gunners late on. A much needed return for Arteta at the back. However, it isn’t all good news for the Spaniard, as left back Sead Kolasinac isn’t available until after the winter break, along with winger Reiss Nelson. Scotsman Kieran Tierney has returned to light outdoor sessions following successful shoulder surgery and is expected to be back in the first team fold at the beginning of March. Star striker Aubameyang is still suspended, completing his three match ban after the game at the Vitality. David Luiz will also suspended following his red card on Tuesday night. Bournemouth also have a lot of players missing with Steve Cook, Charlie Daniels, Jack Stacey, Jordan Ibe and David Brooks all our injured or suspended.

Score Prediction
I don’t believe this is an easy game for Arsenal as we have been very hit and miss away from home, however I can see us coming back to North London with a win. My prediction is:
Bournemouth 1-3 Arsenal
