Last time out it ended in a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

Match Preview

Coming off the back of a solid performance with three points to show, at a notoriously tough place to travel for Arsenal in previous seasons will be such a confidence booster for the squad. Arteta will be looking to build on that result on Sunday afternoon, however it will be no easy game as we all know from earlier on in the campaign.

Both sides form since the restart has been questionable to say the least with Sheffield drawing one and losing the other two by the score line of 3-0. On the other hand, The Gunners have one win and two losses in their first three games back. Last time out at Bramall Lane, the home side narrowly beat Arsenal 1-0 in which was a toughly fought battle and I see this game being no different. Both sides will feel they have a chance in this game due to the vulnerabilities they have shown over the last few weeks, as a result it will probably come down to which sides strikers can take chances when it comes their way. Let’s see the team news for both sides:

The Gunners will be without young star Gabriel Martinelli for the rest of the season, as it was confirmed on Friday that he has undergone surgery on his knee and will now start his rehabilitation. Arteta will also be without Callum Chambers, Bernd Leno, Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares and Lucas Torreira as his injury list starts to mount up as it seems to do every season. Blades boss Chris Wilder has received a boost ahead of this fixture with Dean Henderson and John Egan likely to be welcomed back into the side this weekend, as both missed out in their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United due to ineligibility and suspension.
