Match Preview

The Gunners will be looking to finish the season strong with a victory over their bitter rivals, Spurs, at the first game between the sides at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Both sides will be wanting to pick up the three points in order to cement the bragging rights along with making their chances of finishing above one another and getting one of the last European spots more likely.

Arteta’s side have been in fine form recently, winning 4 out of their last 5 matches in all competitions including wins against Sheffield United, Wolves, Norwich and Southampton, meaning the visitors are definitely in better form going into this one, however we all know this isn’t a major factor as both teams will rise to the occasion. On the other hand, Tottenham have won 2 out of 5 along with 2 draws and a loss as their inconsistent season continues after the break. Let’s have a look at the team news for both teams:

Arsenal will be without Pablo Mari, Gabriel Martinelli, Callum Chambers and Bernd Leno for the rest of the season, but there was some positive news for the German shot-stopper as it is expected for him to be back in full training before the end of the current campaign. Youngster Eddie Nketiah will be missing for this match as his appeal against the red card shown to him on Tuesday night was rejected. Jose Mourinho will be without a couple of key players as well as Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga will miss out due to injury and suspension.
